A sketch and a cod

Here's Lauren's Saturday Sketch! Here's what I came up with. I left the card base white, which is waaaaaay out of my comfort zone and decided to go with a "less is more" kind of card today.

I made my own shimmer patterned paper with SU's dazzling diamonds glitter. If you'd like to try it for yourself, I did a quick tutorial on this post.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team gals did:
Alicia, Dawn, Kim, Kirsten, Kristy, Maria & Tamara

I'll be back Monday.

CARD RECIPE:
STAMPS - SU POLAR PALS
CARDSTOCK - WHISPER WHITE, TEMPTING TURQUOISE
INK - TEMPTING TURQUOISE, PUMPKIN PIE
MISC - DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER, BLING, PUMPKIN PIE STRIPED RIBBON

  1. MaKenzie,
WOW I love this card! I am amazed at how good white can make a card look! I was noticing this week on SCS a lot of the cards I was picking as my favorites actually had a lot of white in them!

I can not wait to find time to play on this sketch this week!

    Great Job!

  2. I LOVE THAT SPARKLE! I have to try that!! You did great with the white background, I hear ya I'm bad at that also. I used a green base but even that seemed to empty so I had to cuttlebug the background. :-)
