I don't normally share personal things on this blog, but my seven year old did something today that made me SO proud. Have you ever had a moment with your children, when they did or said something that made you think to yourself, "Hey, I really AM a good parent! I'm teaching them the right things and shaping them into good people"?
Today I had one of those moments with my firecracker of daughter.
Here's my little beauty... Just look at that GORGEOUS head of hair.
I would do just about anything to have a head of hair like that.....seriously.
Here she is 5 minutes later...

She asked me to cut her hair this afternoon so she could donate it to Locks of Love. Oh my gosh....I love this kid.
That really is one very special little girl.
ReplyDeleteYou should be very proud of her and yourself.
Awwww, what a sweetheart! That was a beautiful head of hair, it really was, but she's got a beautiful heart too and that's so important :0)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful girl with a beautiful heart! What a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!!! That's awesome!! My Shannon did that when she was 4 (yes, she had that much hair - lol) and two years and 3 months later (just a few weeks ago) she donated to Beautiful Lengths (it's run by Pantene, and you only need 8 inches to donate to them) I know EXACTLY how you feel!! {{HUGS}} to the proud Mommy and your wonderful daughter!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, MacKenzie, your daughter truly is gor-juss, inside and out! She's a very special 7-year old to be doing this! Good for her and good for you. You have good reason to be proud!!!
