To "die" for gift box

Here's a fun gift set that I made for one of my favorite people in the whole world. She's got a bit of an owl "thing" going on lately and she's always been a fan of felt flowers. She puts them on headbands, sweaters, purses and basically anything else she can get her hands on! I decided to combine her two favorite things, with some of her favorite colors and make her the perfect gift set.

When I saw the rolled rose die that MFT recently came out with, I had to get one for her (and me too!). I use the die to cut three roses out of felt and then adhered them to the top of the box.
I finished off the roses with half-back pearls and then added some Kiwi Kiss ribbon around the sides.
Her new die fits perfectly inside this 4" box.
(Tutorial found here)
Here's a shot of the matching card...
The owl image is by Sassafrass Lass and the sentiment is by Pink Cat Studio.

I added some black pearls to his eyes to up the cute factor.
To finish off this little beauty, I added some purple jewels and glittered leaves. They just so happened to be sitting on my table waiting to be used on something.
I can't believe that I have to wait ten more days to give this to her!

  1. Hi MacKenzie, Any tips on using the rolled flower dies? I have the rolled 'flower' die and tried it with patterned paper. I had trouble keeping it together, then my paper ripped so I threw it out! I did not throw a tantrum although I sure felt like it! Is felt easier than paper? I have watched some tutorials on youtube but they were not close up videos.
