Happy Wednesday to you!
Today I have a Hanukkah card to share with you. Isn't this image cute?
It's a digital image from Hambo and you can find it right here.
To embellish my card I added some beautiful two-toned blue ribbon to each corner.
And some jewels around the scalloped edge. I tried a new technique for coloring the main panel. I colored the bears as usual with my Copic markers, but then took a blue Prismacolor pencil and colored a border around each bear. Then I blended it into the background with a blending stump and some odorless mineral spirits. I did the same thing with a black pencil along the bottom of the bears for a shadow effect.

When I had my card all finished, it still needed a little something. I decided to go back to my computer and print up the same image, only this time I enlarged it quite a bit and cropped out everything except the dreidel. I colored it, cut it out and attached it with dimensionals.

I don't celebrate...but just wanted to tell you that your cards are super cute...expically the owl one!
The bears are my favorite- what a great tip to enlarge image to be able to get just the dradel!
MacKenzie, OMG your cards are super cute. It is so hard to find Hanukkah images (it never dawned on me to look at digital stuff) Thanks so much for posting. Hugs, Sarah
Me me pick me!! You know I love your cards! Plus you'd be helping me out & I wouldn't have to go spend money at Hallmark to get cute Chanukah cards for my family! (Am I really the only Jew you know IRL?!)

(remember: the Jew who had to do the Easter baskets at GT...LOL!!)
I'm so glad to see someone actually post Hanukkah cards on their blog! I never thought to look for digital images either.
Thanks for posting!
Wow!! These are so cool!! I love them....and I would love to have them. I have loads of Jewish patients and am whilst I don't give a card to everyone, those who graciously bless me with a gift for Christmas, I like to thank appropriately with a Hanukkah card....but don't have the time to make any right at the moment.
I can't pick a fav because I love aspects of all of them. Thanks for the inspiration. Will have to make sure I get myself some appropriate images and get started early on these cards next year.
Hugs, Michey xxx
