Paper Chase Goodies

Just a quick post today to share some of my favorite goodies that I got on the bus tour this weekend. (I think my body is still recovering) Did I mention that everyone on the bus tour got 20% off of EVERYTHING at EVERY store?! Doodlebug sugar coating and crushed velvet flock!
YUMMY! I am now the proud owner of some "My Favorite Things" stamps!! I found three sets that I've had my eye on - "By the Seashore", "Going Places" and "Meet Me at the Cafe". I also found the "Oliver & Friends" owl set by Sassafras. And yes....I squealed out loud when I grabbed the last two sitting on the shelf for my sister-in-law and I!!

Oh, and don't forget that cute little bee over there. It's a new release from Memory Box and is actually a penguin dressed up as a bee - too cute to pass up!! I'm thinking he'll have some yellow crushed velvet flock on him before the day is over...

Today I'm busy prepping for my class I'm having this weekend. I'll be back tomorrow to share one of the class projects I came up with.

RUN don't walk

to your nearest Costco if you've been wanting the Crop-A-Dile! While perusing the aisles a few days ago I stumbled upon this incredible deal! Normally the Crop-A-Dile sells for $30 by itself - at least everywhere I've seen it. Right now, Costco has a package with the Crop-A-Dile and 642 eyelets in three different sizes in a beautiful assortment of colors for $30! I tore open that baby as soon as I got it home - LOVE IT! My husband was even impressed with it *gasp*! It cuts through everything like "buttah".

This must be what heaven looks like....

Okay girls....I bought 117 yards of ribbon today for $38!!! My friend Linda discovered a ribbon outlet store last week and I FINALLY had a chance to go this morning. The service left a little something to be desired - it took the lady an hour to cut my ribbon! It was like watching a turtle in slow motion. I'm SO lucky that my 4 year old was in a patient mood today!

Their prices ranged from 6 - 75 cents a yard! Almost all of my choices were 20 cents a yard. I now have a huge bag of beautiful ribbon that I'll be rolling tonight as I watch Big Brother & American Idol. Is it wrong that I want to lay it all over the floor and roll around in it??

This ribbon is very good quality and many of them would match well with SU colors. If enough people are interested, I would totally consider doing a ribbon share. I would figure out the exact cost of the ribbon plus shipping and post it here. If that's something that you'd like to do, please leave a comment here so I know how many people would like to do it.

Hey gals!

While I was browsing through the Sunday paper, I saw an ad from Aaron Brothers. All of their Prismacolor art pencils were 50% off! I've been wanting these for a long time, and decided to go ahead and get a small set to play with. I got this beautiful set of 24 for only $15!! I can't wait to get these babies sharpened up and onto paper.

I've never used these before, but I've already got odorless mineral spirits and a blending stump. Does anyone out there have any tips for me? I've seen SO many beautiful samples and I'd love to hear how you use these.
