Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

It's Friday and that means a new challenge from the CSAYL gals! How about a Colour Challenge this week?
Christmas is such a colourful time of the year. It used to be you'd see everything decked out in Red and Green. Occasionally you would be mesmerized by a Regal Purple presentation, but that was usually an exception. Today you see many different colour schemes that just emit festivity.

Your challenge is to create a Christmas card in shades of Pink.

Here's what I came up with this week...
I went with a very simple layout so the pink color scheme would be front and center. The snowman image is a digital by Pink Cat Studio and you can get it right here. I added glitter to his hat, nose and scarf.
This is one SPAR-KA-LAY snowman!
So....are you ready to play along with us?
If you still need a little inspiration before you get started, head on over to the CSAYL Challenge Blog and take a peek at what the rest of the design team gals came up with.

Pink Cat Studio Release Day!

Are you ready for the uber-cuteness that IS Pink Cat Studio?!
Here is todays release! Do four of the above images look a little familiar to you?
The giraffe, robot and sick Billy & Lily images were some of the most popular digital images that Melissa made. Due to their popularity, she is releasing them today as mini sets in rubbah! In addition to those, she's also releasing three BRAND NEW images of Lily in her dress up clothes! All of the above images are now available in digital form AND rubber - wahoo!

And since I'm completely and utterly addicted to anything that Melissa draws, I've got seven samples to share with you today!
First up is this fun little robot...
He comes with 6 different sentiments so you can customize his "belly screen".

This is one of my favorite images. Billy is just tooooo cute! He's home sick today just hanging out on the couch with his puppy.

Oh, and his friend Lily is sick too! Here she is with her kitty...

Remember this image?
This was released in honor of Henry and became very popular.
I'm working on some thank you cards for my daughters teacher who is expecting a baby next month. This image was perfect for lots of paper piecing.

And here are the new Lily images!

First up is Lily dressed as a butterfly...

And here she is in her ladybug costume...
How about those Princess Leia buns?
Adorable, no?

I saved my favorite of the bunch for last!
Here's Miss Lily in her bumblebee outfit...
ACK!
Cutest thing ever!
I may have gotten a little carried away with the embellishments on this one, but I was having waaaay to much fun.

So what do you think?
Melissa has done it again! I know you can wait any longer to get your hands on all of these cuties. Just click here, and you'll be taken directly to the Pink Cat Studio store to pick the rubber or digis of your choice!

Kickin' Back

Just got this cutie from The Greeting Farm yesterday and had to ink her up right away.I used Karen's Sunday Sketch for the layout.
It's a great one - you should give it a try!
This is a fun image to paper piece. I added some cute patterned papers to her bandanna and the laundry. I colored the laundry basket with a pink glaze pen so it shines like plastic.
Every domestic goddess needs a cute pair of pink fuzzy slippers. I used Doodlebug velvet flock and a glue pen for those.

Now, I had every intention of sticking to the sketch, but I had a little mishap with my circle cutter and tore the bottom right edge of the main panel. As I always say, there are never mistakes in my workshop - just embellishment opportunities! I added a sentiment and some mini clothes pins to cover up my boo-boo.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like my little creation. Tomorrow is Thursday and there's lots going on! Hambo will be having their "One & Done" auction as well as a new digi to introduce for a special introduction price. And Pink Cat Studio will be having a HUGE rubber and digi release. I'll have seven brand new samples to share with you tomorrow!
See you then,

Chocolate Bunnies

Can I tell you a secret?
I absolutely hate sketches with a tilted square.
Hate them.

When I saw the sketch over at Mojo Monday yesterday, it had a tilted square panel right smack dab in the middle - oh the horror! I decided to give it a whirl and step out of my comfort zone. After all, it IS supposed to be a challenge right?
Here's what I came up with... It's not totally hideous. In fact, I think I kind of like how it turned out. I can't even remember the last time that I used a solid image that didn't require coloring!
This chocolate bunny image from the current SU mini catalog was just too cute to resist. I clear embossed him on Close to Cocoa cardstock so he would be shiny.

Then I added some tiny green pearls to the top corner.
And since I was already challenging myself with the sketch, I decided to take it a step farther and try another new technique. Easel cards seem to be all the rage these days, so I decided to give it a try. Here's what it looks like opened up...
I used a sentiment from SUs "Oh So Sweet" set.
Here's a side view...
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off to the Farmers Market!

It's gonna be a great week!

I had a fabulous weekend, how about you? We made a spur of the moment trip down to the Bodega Bay area to visit our favorite oyster farm, have a picnic and go crabbing. My husband and son gorged on oysters while my daughter and I nibbled on our salads from Whole Foods.
We took the scenic route on the way home and drove through all of the vineyards in Sonoma County. I feel so relaxed and refreshed! Also, my good friend was just released from the hospital and I'm going to take her out to the local farmers market tomorrow. I can just tell that this is going to be a great week!

Okay, I've blabbed enough. Here's my card for today... I needed a quick birthday card for one of my Aunts and decided to ink up this cute image of "Heidi Among the Flowers".
All of the paper and the die cut flower are by Stampin Up. I added a sentiment to the center of the flower and finished it off with a green jewel.

That's it for me today. I'm off to go hang out with 24 1st graders!

We're Baaaaack!

Christmas.....yep, it's February 19th and I said the "C" word!

The Christmas Stampin All Year Long gals are back and it's time to get going with your Christmas Cards. I can't even tell you how WONDERFUL it was to have all of my Christmas cards completed before the holidays last year! And the best part was that no two were alike! I hate mass production.

This year we have a slight change with the challenge blog. The first posting of the month will be a 3D gift type challenge. The rest of the month will be Christmas Card Challenges! We truly hope that you will play along with us each Friday!

Without further adieu, lets get into this weeks challenge!
This week we would like you to follow a recipe!
2 layers
3 buttons
Glitter

Here's what I came up with... I added lots of glitter to the candies on my patterned paper...
When I finished my card, I thought it was missing a little somethin', so I poked a snowflake pattern with my piercer and stitched a thread through it.
I really hope you'll play along with us this year! Trust me, you'll be SO glad that you did!
Be sure to hop on over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with. And when you finish your creation, you can upload it to Mr Linky on the challenge post.

Alice

I finally got to see a preview of the new Tim Burton movie coming out next month. Is it just me, or does Johnny Depp look waaaaaay creepy as the Mad Hatter? My sister-in-law and I are going to go see it first before we decide if it's okay for my kiddos. But in the meantime, I created this little number... The images are from a set called "Wonderland" by The Greeting Farm.
Here's a peek at the inside...
This one will be going in My Etsy Shop!
Thanks for stopping by!
