Hope your Halloween is a HOOT

I promised the kids that I'd post a picture of their pumpkins. They saw these cute owl pumpkins on an old episode of Martha Stewart and decided that's what they wanted to do this year. They came out pretty cute!

Also thought I'd share one last Halloween card with you today. I picked up this pumpkin chandelier stamp at Scrapbook Territory a couple of weeks ago, along with a 6 x 6 pad of BasicGrey Halloween papers. If you're ever near the Berkeley area, definitely stop in and have a look around. They have everything! It's about a 2 hour drive for me, so all my girlfriends and I will carpool down once or twice a year.

Here's what the inside looks like...

Have a safe and fun Halloween!
I'll be back on Monday.

Pink Cat Digital Release Day!

It's Thursday - the BEST day of the week!
Survivor is on AND a brand new digital release from Pink Cat Studio!! What more could a girl want?
Look at what's available for you to play with today...

I've got lots of cuteness to share with you today.
First up are Lily and Billy holding their hot cocoa.

I decided to make hot cocoa holders.
Here's a close up of Lily...

And here's Billy...

I picked up some Ghirardelli hot chocolate packets for 58 cents each and created a holder for them. The cool thing about these is that it also stands up by itself as a card. A gift and a card all wrapped up as one item - love that!

Don't you think these would be a fun an economical gift to hand out to teachers, librarians, coaches, neighbors, co-workers, etc...?

Next up is cute lil' Billy holding a dreidel and a menorah!

Isn't he just the cutest?!

And here's the best part...

With a few cuts and scores, I was able to make a pop-up dreidel when you open the card!

Ready for some more Hanukkah cuteness?

I squealed when I first saw this image and sentiment! But let's face it....I squeal every time I get a new image from Melissa.

I printed out the image twice and popped up the eyes and the dreidel.

And I most definitely could not leave out Lily...

This image reminds me of the game CandyLand.
Lots of Doodlebug Sugar Coating went on this to make it SPAR-KA-LAY!

Thanks for checking out my goodies today.
Be sure to head on over to the digital store over at PCS to get your hands on these little beauties.

Hambo Hump Day and Frog Slime

Today I have two Hambo projects to share with you. First up is a card I made using a small crab image from Hambo's Sea Animal Collection. I found this cute patterned paper by Flair Designs in my stash. Who knew I had crab themed paper?! And since everything is cuter with google eyes, I glued those onto each crab before I adhered them to the card.

Next up is a Halloween project. My son wanted something "boyish" to give his classmates. What could be more "boyish" than frog slime?
Actually, it's flubber.
I found this recipe online and whipped up a batch with the kids over the weekend. We packaged it up in some small glass jars and then decorated them with some green ribbon, computer generated text and a frog stamp by Hambo.

I used my Stamp-A-Majig and combined two different Hambo sentiments for the tag on the bottom lid.
This is what it looks like when you take it out of the jar.
Weirdest stuff I've ever seen....
It's solid when you take it out of the jar and move it around. As soon as it stops moving, it's liquid again.
Bizarre...but fun!

Digital DT Contest at Pink Cat Studio!

Pink Cat Studio is starting a fun contest today!
Melissa asked each Digi DT member to create a Betty that tells us a bit about herself. Can you figure out who created each Betty? If so then you could win some free digi stamps!!
Visit the Pink Cat Studio blog to learn how to enter the contest.

Hmmmm.....which one do you think is me??
Good luck!

For a hip teacher

My sons teacher is celebrating her birthday tomorrow, so we'll be dropping off this card along with a cupcake and some flowers.Mrs. Curtis is a sweet young gal who's energetic and passionate about her job. Any teacher like that deserves to be spoiled! I wanted to make her a card that matched her personality, so I used some fun and funky colors and bright green glitter. The main image is Rockstar Anya from The Greeting Farm - as if you didn't recognize that little cutie. I used Jen's sketch for the layout and one of my favorite sentiments from Hambo.
Oh....and for those of you who keep asking....NO...I'm not pregnant.
My fainting spell was just a freak accident - I swear!
Two kiddos is all the excitement this lil' stamper can handle :-)
Hugs,

Pink Cat Digital Release Day!

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'll be at the doctor today - again.

Hey everyone!
It's Pink Cat day! I won't make you wait any longer!
Here are the new digital releases....

Aren't these Winter images adorable?!
Some people were asking where Lily's been.
Here she is!

My first sample has cute Lily in her Winter ensemble...I decided to use pink and green - one of my fave combos and the sentiment was computer generated.

I added some pink velvet flock to her hand warmer and popped up her hat and scarf on dimensionals. I picked up some pink pearls at the Scrapbook Expo over the weekend and decided to add them to her coat as buttons.

These are the Copics that I used...
Ooops....this one too.

Next up is this ADORABLE owl dressed as Santa.
I used two star images from the "Lily and Billy Accessory" rubber stamp set on the background.
And last, but certainly not least is Christmas Fairy Lily.
Isn't she a beauty?

I covered her with lots of Doodlebug Sugar Coating and created a tag for a Christmas gift bag.

So what do you think? Didn't Melissa do an amazing job this week?

And what about you? Do you have a great idea for a digital image?
Melissa is starting a fun new contest over at the Pink Cat Blog. All you have to do is submit your idea in the comments section of her blog post. Each week, she'll choose one idea to turn into a digital image. The winner will receive the image for free AND get to make a card for the release! How cool is that?

Hope you liked what I came up with for the release this week. Be sure to head on over to the Pink Cat Blog today and see what the rest of the design team came up with. Oh, and for those of you who are new to digital images, Melissa has a FAB tutorial and a FREE digital download for you to practice with. You can check out both of those right here <-----

I'll be back tomorrow with my Friday Faves.
Until then...

Hambo Hump Day

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm in a tube having my brain scanned!

Today I have a fun Hambo card to share with you. If you go to the Fractured Funnies page on the Hambo website, you'll find all kinds of cute stamps that come as a set of 2. I love these sets because it gives you a sentiment for the outside of your card as well as the inside. I don't know about you, but I don't have alot of clever stamps for the inside of my cards.

Here's what I came up with... I used the "SALE" text and created a mini sign with some twine and a copper brad. And of course my sign had to be hung in a window right? I cut four 1 1/2 inch squares on my Cricut and used the negative as my window frame.
To create the window box, I punched a border on some rust colored cardstock and cut the edges at an angle. Then I folded over one edge to add some dimension and added some tiny paper roses. To finish it off, I added some sushi grass.
Here's what the inside looks like...
It says, "Now that I have your attention..."
I don't know about you guys, but this card totally makes me think of my Mother-in-law. She's a total shop-o-holic. Seriously....they have meetings for people like her. <-----insert evil grin.

Well, I guess that's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by.
Be sure to check out the Hambo Challenge Blog to play along on our latest sketch challenge.
