The last one...

Today is the last day that we'll be doing a Little C's challenge as a team. After a lot of thought, Jen has decided to to focus more on the fun part of this hobby, instead of the business end.
That being said, you still have one week to play along with our last challenge! Here's the inspiration photo, so get ready to be inspired...
I decided to use the color combo as my inspiration and came up with this...The patterned papers are from a retired collection from Stampin Up. I've had a hard time using them because they're so "busy", but I think they worked well on this card.Is this little cutie adorable or what?
She's part of the Twinkle Tots line by The Greeting Farm. Well that's it for me today. I'm off to plan my sons birthday weekend! If you'd like to play along with us for this last challenge, hop on over to the challenge blog. As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by today!

A fun challenge

A friend told me this morning that one of my published cards is featured on the CardMaker website - you can check it out here if you'd like.

Today the Little C's challenge blog has a colorful new challenge with a pet theme. Here's the inspiration photo...

Here's what I came up with...

As you can see, I interpreted the inspiration photo quite literally using the three large circles. The fire hydrant and sentiment are from an SU set called "Mans Best Friend". If you'd like to play along with us this week and see what the rest of the gals came up with, hop on over to the challenge blog! Keepin' it quick today because I've had some technical difficulties since yesterday.

Tuesday Inspiration

Tuesday means a new challenge over on the Little C's challenge blog! Check out the inspiration pic for this week.... Here's what I came up with...
I used a combination of rub on images and stamps for this one. I'm loving the black, white and Bermuda Bay combo with a splash of pink.
The flower images are rub ons by American Crafts.
And the medallions on the center panel are from SU's "Vintage Labels" set.
I finished off the main panel with a cute border punch and some pink jewels. You can check out what the rest of the team did by hopping over to the Little C's challenge blog. How will you be inspired by this weeks photo? The colors? The layout? Textures? Can't wait to see what you create!

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

Check out this weeks inspiration photo for the Little C's challenge... Love it!

Here's what I came up with using a fun image by Denami Design.
This image is called "Mimi's Bake Shoppe".
I wanted to incorporate some kind of element to mimic the glass in the inspiration photo, so I decided to use some clear dew drops along the top and bottom edge.
I decided to keep this one simple so the large image would take center stage.

If you'd like to play along with us this week be sure to hop on over to the Little C's challenge blog and give it a go! And a big congrats to Carolyn for winning the cake inspiration challenge from two weeks ago! Thanks for stopping by. We're off to the sprinkler park to play and have a picnic. Until tomorrow....

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

Today Jen has picked another fabulous photo as inspiration for our Tuesday challenge! There are so many cool elements in the inspiration photo, but I decided to just focus on one - the bookcase. Here's what I came up with... I used some glitter alphabet letters by Doodlebug and a flower brad by Stampin Up.
And you know me and jewels....
I hope you'll play along with us this week! Be sure to hop on over the Little C's challenge blog to see what the rest of the divas came up with.

Oh, and for all of you scrapbookers out there....Little C's has just started a Saturday Scrapbook challenge! I'm still recovering from my trip, but I'm hoping to play along once things settle back down. You can check out this weeks sketch right here!

A Sweet Inspiration Challenge

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm busy trying to get free samples at the sake factory!

Today is Tuesday and that means another fabulous inspiration challenge from Little C's. Here is this weeks photo...Great pic isn't it?
Here's what I came up with... I used these yummy green pearls to mimic the piping on the bottom of the cake.
I also added these mini pink roses because I just couldn't resist.

This is "Rosalie with Roses" by CC Designs. I've been working on my black hair technique and this image was great practice. To pull the whole card together, I used the pattern papers to paper piece her dress and socks.
So what do you think? Are you inspired by the photo? I hope you'll play along with us this week. Be sure to leave a link to your creation on the Little C's blog.

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I drank a little too much sake!
Hey kids!
It's challenge time again over on the Little C's challenge blog. Check out this weeks inspiration photo!Isn't it fabulous?! I love everything about it!

Here's what I came up with using "Stella" from The Greeting Farm... Have you ever made a card that you just LOVE? This one came out waaay cuter than I had pictured it in my head - gosh I wish that happened more often!

I used some of my favorite red polka dot ribbon by Stampin Up. And yes, I stocked up on yards and yards of it before it retires.
I used my Swiss Dots embossing folder on the white cardstock in the background.
And embellished with some mini hearts and a rub-on sentiment.

I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did! Be sure to check out what Jen and Maria did too.

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm on a flight to Japan right now!

Today brings a new challenge over on the Little C's challenge blog. How's this for inspiration?
Such a fun pic to kick off the start of summer.
Here's what I came up with using "Sweet Kiki" from CC Designs. I really liked the blue and white polka dot print, so I paper pieced her headband and outfit to match the background paper.
I scored the white cardstock border to match the table in the inspiration photo, and then finished it off with some white satin ribbon.
I colored Kiki's ice cream cone with a glitter pen and added a red pearl to the top. I couldn't resist.

What will you come up with this week? Hop on over to the challenge blog for more inspiration!

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

Wow, June 1st, can you believe it?!

Today is Tuesday and that means a fun new challenge from Little C's! This week we have a color challenge using the following picture as inspiration for a masculine card. Now......gold pants, a scarf and sandals don't exactly strike me as masculine, but hey....I'm game! Here's what I came up with... I decided to make a tom-boyish card using "Camille" by The Greeting Farm.
I hope you'll play along with us this week. Jen has chosen some AMAZING photos as inspiration for the next two months of Little C's challenges!

For those of you who stop by everyday to visit, you know that I'm leaving for Japan in less than a week! However, even in my absence, June is going to be a very busy month on my blog.

I accepted a spot as the June Guest Designer for a great company called Stamp by Step. I'll also be doing a guest spot on a brand new blog called Color Me Copic. I've got all of my projects completed, photographed and pre-scheduled to post on my blog each day that I'm gone.

In addition to my two guest designer spots, I've also got my weekly obligations for Pink Cat Studio, Little C's and Christmas Stampin All Year Long. I've got all of those goodies done and they're pre-scheduled to post on my blog on the usual days. Whew...I'm already tired just thinking about it!

I've been working really hard these last couple of weeks to get everything done before I go. I appreciate all of my readers SO much and had so much cute stuff I wanted to share while I'm away! I'll have my first "official" post for my Stamp by Step guest dt spot tomorrow. I hope you'll come back and see what I have to share with you!
Hugs,

A sketch and a cutie

As most of you probably know, Little C's is clearing out their entire stamp inventory. There are lots of great deals to be had plus some low priced grab bags full of cuteness! Use promo code "GoodBuy40" to receive 40% off of your entire rubber stamp order! (grab bags not included in this promo because of their already reduced price)

Okay, enough business talk, let's get to stampin!
Today the Little C's divas have a sketch challenge for you courtesy of Jen. Here's what I came up with using an image by The Greeting Farm...I used papers from the BasicGrey "Kioshi" collection and some yummy green ribbon by May Arts. The polka dots across the top and the sentiment are rub-ons.

This is "Lottie".
She's part of the Twinkle Tot Collection and I'm totally smitten.
Just look at that face - what a sweetie!
I added some tiny purple pearls to her hair bows for a little dimension...
and popped up the ribbon ends to finish it off

I hope you'll play along with Maria, Jen and I. This sketch is super simple and leaves loads of room for creativity. Be sure to check out what Little C's has left in their Greeting Farm inventory!
