Pink Cat Studio Digi Release Day!

Pink Cat Studio is back today with a fun new release for Halloween!

These little guys are just too cute and headed for a sugar coma.  They're called "Sugar Crazy Frogs " and you can find them right here.
I started with a 5" black base and used patterns from BasicGrey.
After I finished coloring my image with Copics, I used a black Sakura glaze pen on the Jack-O-Lantern face and handle.
Then I used a clear glaze pen on the rest of the pumpkin to make it look like plastic.
The layout was inspired by Mojo Monday sketch #261 and used some black felt ribbon and loads of orange pearls as embellishments.
I finished it off with a die cut sentiment and some candies.
These are the Copics that I used...
This is the first card I've made in months and it was so great to get back in my workshop!  I absolutely adore the Halloween images by Pink Cat Studio!  Every single one.
You can check out the entire PCS Halloween collection and new release images right here.

Oh, and how about a couple of freebies?!

"Frog Wizard" is free with ANY purchase today only...

And "Frog Pumpkin Head" is free just for reading my post today!
Click here and go to the digital store to download.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's Pumpkin Time

It's Inky Challenge time again and this week we're going Trick-Or-Treating. We want you to make a Halloween card and utilize the colors orange and black. Here's what I came up with using the "Lili's Pumpkin" image.

I stamped the sentiment in white ink, punched it with an small oval and added a silver pumpkin charm. I glued some orange cardstock to the back of the charm so the jack-o-lantern details would *pop*.

The layout was inspired by this sketch and the patterns that I picked were inspired by the "Spooky Hues" challenge at Papertake Weekly. To ground the main image, I drew in some fall colored grass and sponged on some clouds in the background.

I finished it all off with some clear Inky Dinky Drops.

Inky Inspiration

Today I have a quick and easy project to share with you. Quick and easy projects are the best!  And they definitely come in handy when I need to make goodies for my kiddos and their 54 classmates.

Here's a Halloween / Fall inspired candy holder.
I used some patterned paper scraps with Fall colors and then added Lili to the front.  Then I wrapped some striped twine around a few times to finish it off.
There are so many great challenges this week will Fall inspiration.  You should definitely check them out and play along!
The Crafters Cafe - "brown, yellow, orange"
Cupcake Craft - "Halloween"
Creative Stamp Friends - "Autumn Colors"
Hooked on Crafts - "anything but a card"
The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration
The Ribbon Reel - photo inspiration
Bows and Berries - photo inspiration

If you use the following dimensions, you'll be able to get 4 of these babies out of one sheet of 8 1/2" 11" cardstock!
Cut a strip of cardstock to 2" x 10 1/4".
Score at 4" and fold.
Easy-Peasy!

If you wanted to put in something larger, like a candy bar, just increase the 2" width.
Be sure to hop on over to the Inky Impressions store and check out all of the cute images and great embellishments available.  You can also check out the Inky Inspiration and Inky Challenge blogs for all sorts of eye candy!  Thanks for visiting today.

Frank and the little woman

I've been trying to come up with something cute for the kids to hand out to their classmates for Halloween. Mission accomplished... I've seen so many great Frankenstein goodie boxes made with the SU "Top Note" die. Unfortunately I don't have that one, but I DO have a the "pillow box" die and decided to give it a whirl. The kiddos gave me two thumbs up and promised to help with the 54 more that we'll need to make!

Here's a close up of Frank...
I used the MFT "fresh cut grass" die to make the hair and miscellaneous punches for the facial features. Here's a close up of his little woman...
Any clever ideas for what I can put in these cuties?
I'd like to do something other than candy.

Open up and say "ahhhhhhh"

Somehow I ended up being in charge of the Haunted House at the school Harvest Carnival this month. The first thing that hit me was STRESS!! Where to begin?? I've never done such a large project and have been spending every waking moment on it for the last week and a half. I really got inspired this weekend and spent 15 hours making props on Saturday! Why stop when you're on a roll, right?
I thought I'd share one of my creepy little creations with you today. Let me introduce you to the dentist tray from hell... I had way too much fun on this one.
I got a 3-pack of "Bubba" teeth at the dollar store and glued them inside a glass vase. On the night of the event, I'll fill the vase with blood stained water and the teeth will look like they're floating. Then I glued a little mouse climbing up the side.
Check out my homemade teeth...
(I'll share how I did that at the end of this post) I had a gold paint marker and couldn't resist making at least one gold tooth!

And what dentist tray from hell would be complete without some bloody gauze and pliers?
If you're ever in the mood to make some teeth of your own, just get some dried Indian corn. Then get your kids to pull out the kernels and your husband to paint them white.
Voila - teeth!
I'm off to another Haunted House work session! If you've got any great ideas for me, please share! Thanks for stopping by today.

For my creepy friend

Last month one of my favorite people celebrated her birthday. This is the gift that I made for her... It's soap!
So fun to make and so perfect for my buddy.
I picked up all of the soap supplies from Bramble Berry - you've got to check out their site if you're interested in soap or candle making! After my soap was made, I did some measuring and came up with a box using black cardstock and clear acetate. For the label on front, I stamped a skull (by Inkadinkado) in white craft ink. Then I used images from a PaperTrey set called "Just for You" to personalize it a bit.
I'm thinking that this skull mold may really come in handy with Halloween coming up! Chocolate, jello, rice crispy treats....

Pink Cat Digital Release Day!

Have you ever been SO excited about a new release and sworn to secrecy for two whole weeks? Torture I tell you....
I'm super excited to share Pink Cat Studio's newest digital release!

Adorable, no?
So have you heard the horrible news?
Blobby had an accident and now he's a zombie...This was a fun one to make. I paired several BasicGrey patterns with Kiwi Kiss cardstock and then colored in Blobby to match. After consulting with my local zombie expert, I decided to use red glitter on the eyes and liquid applique on the goo coming out of his mouth.Vomit, foam, blood? Not sure what's exactly coming out of his mouth, but I tried to keep the gross factor minimal.Okay....speaking of gross.
Here's my "twisted" version of the same card.I hope all of you Lily & Billy fans are still speaking to me...

No more gross stuff - promise!
Here's Blobby in his Dracula cape and fangs...
Oh my gosh. He's sooooo cute!

I used the SU mini milk carton die for this one and shrunk Blobby down to fit on the front.

I popped up his cape with dimensionals and finished off the corners with yellow jewels.

Next up is bewitching little Lily...

I'm not really a "tag" person, but I was really happy with how this one came out - and quick too!

I used all kinds of fun goodies on this one and then popped up Lily with dimensionals.

I decorated a clothespin to attach the tag to a mini lunch sack.

Wouldn't this be cute filled with caramel corn and passed out to classmates?

Can't forget about Billy....
I mean Franken-Billy.
For this, I decorated an International Coffee Tin and made some chocolate covered marshmallows to look like Frankenstein.

And what Halloween release would be complete without a mummy?
Is this dog adorable or what?!
I added a big black pearl to his nose to raise the cute factor.
So have you all fallen in love with Blobby yet?
How about now?
Whew!
I think that's everything! I had SO much fun making samples for this release. I can't wait to hop on over to the PCS blog and see what the rest of the team came up with! Be sure to check out all of the great Halloween images that Melissa has made by clicking here.
Thank you SO much for stopping by my little corner of the world today.
