Pink Cat Digital Release Day

Today is my favorite day of the week, because I get to share all of the fun things I've been working on for the new PCS release!
Check out these little cuties...I had way too much fun with these images!
Hey....who's that in my chimney?
Oh....it's this little guy! I used the chimney from a PCS image called "Santa Kitty", and then scalloped some patterned paper to look like a rooftop. Melissa liked that idea so much, that she drew up a kitty-free chimney as one of her freebies today!

Check out this foxy little dude...
Adorable, no?
And here he is just hanging out.
I used a tree stump from another PCS image called "Christmas Stump". I cut off the ornaments and colored over the candy canes. Then I added one adorable strategically placed fox and a little strategically placed grass. Voila!
Oh, and guess what? Melissa liked that idea too, so she made an owl-free stump just for all of you! Yay for freebies!
As soon as I saw this raccoon, I new exactly what sentiment I wanted to make for him.

Mr & Mrs Hedgehog just welcomed a new addition!
The great thing about digital images is you can flip em', shrink em' and do just about anything you can think of. Fun, fun, fun.
I used the same idea for the deer images to make a Mother's Day card.
I think this is my favorite card this week. The soft color combo is something different for me, but I love how it turned out.
I hope you like my projects this week because I had fun making them! Be sure to hop on over to the PCS store today, because with any purchase, you'll get those fun freebies to play with!
I hope to see you back here tomorrow for the first CSAYL challenge of the year!! And I just know you're going to love our 1st sponsor!!

Whoa Baby!

I'm surrounded by pregnant women! There must be something in the water out here, because everywhere I look these days, I see baby bumps. I totally have baby fever now, and figured I'd put all of those feelings to good use and make some cards for all of the new arrivals that will be coming soon. I made this one just in time, because my good friend just became a Grandma four days ago! I used a super cute elephant image by InStyle Stamps. The elephant is actually part of a scene, and I just cut it out. I embellished with some jewels, okay a lot of jewels, and a ric-rac border punch. The sentiment is actually a printed playing card that I thought worked well with the rest of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today.
If you're a fan of CSAYL, you can hop on over there for a quick post about the challenges for this year.

Flowers and Leaves

My daughter's teacher just had a baby last Thursday and the nursery colors are brown, blue and green. I was asked by one of the parents to come up with a present that could be from the whole class. I started with a wood base that measured about 12" tall and painted it white. Then I added patterned papers with Mod Podge glue.
I embellished with rub-on images and sentiments...
and finished it off with some Prima flowers and leaves. I love the brown flowers with the blue leaves - such a great combo for boys. There are a TON of them in each package, so you'll definitely be seeing more of these on future projects!
I also made a matching box filled with assorted thank you cards - a total necessity for any new Mommy.
All of these pretty flowers and leaves are available at Little C's and we hope that they've inspired you to play along with a little challenge this week. Pink Cat Digital Release Day!

It's Thursday! My favorite day of the week - a new release from Pink Cat Studio and a new episode of Survivor tonight - yay!

So....umm......Melissa went a little baby crazy this week. Aren't you glad she did?
Me too.

I mean, seriously......where else are you gonna get an image of a baby frog and a baby owl in diapers?! This release was just in the nick of time because my dear friend recently became a first time Momma! I've been meaning to make a card and gift package for her, but I don't own any baby stamps - gasp!

I decided to use the owl image to make my friend a congratulations card.
That's right - she had twins! One of each!

I used bright bold colors on this one to make it fun and then added doodlebug sugar coating to the diapers to really make them SPAR-KA-LAY.

Of course I had to get the twins a little gift. I almost never get the chance to buy baby stuff anymore. I picked out matching bathing suits and sun hats for them. Is there anything cuter that little tiny baby clothes?

Here's the gift bag that I put together using the monkey image...
The sentiment is a rub-on, but I think it goes perfect.

Next up are some diaper shaped goodie holders...
I used a template that I found here.
I enlarged one of the images and cropped out everything but the diaper pin. Then I colored it, cut it out and used it as an embellishment.

Doesn't it look like the pin is holding the diaper together?

Last up is baby Kiki...
Does her diaper pin look familiar? This is the image that I enlarged to make the embellishment on my diaper favors (pictured above this).

I've had these papers and ribbon sitting on my desk for a couple of months. They were left over from a stamp club that I attended and just never got a chance to finish. I was determined to use up the supplies or throw them away! (I missed seeing the top of my table)

This card has a shabby chic feel to it. Not my normal style, but I like how it came out. Check out baby Kiki, complete with fishing line whiskers.

So have you gone baby crazy yet?
Hop on over to the digi store and get yourself some of these super cute and unique images. Can't wait to see what you guys do with them!

Knocked Up?

My dear friend Gloria bought me this fantastic image for my birthday and I had to ink it up right away. Let me introduce you to Charlotte... Even though she's been sitting on my desk for almost a week now, I still giggle every time I look at her. Those giant crazy eyes remind me of Kari, the babysitter from The Incredibles.
As I was looking through all of my sentiments for the perfect one to use on this card, I came across my "Twisted Sentiments" set from My Favorite Things.
Oh admit it.....it's perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope my weird little creation made you smile.
Hugs,

"My Time" to inspire...

Saturday is finally here and the kiddos and I are enjoying our last day in New Jersey with my family. I can never resist a challenge, so I had to create my sample a couple of weeks ago and schedule it to post today!

Here's our inspiration photo from Lauren for this weeks challenge... Isn't it great?

Here's what I came up with...
The challenge picture inspired my card in many different ways. I used the wall color for my rectangular panels, which were inspired by the shape of the crib. For the circle elements, I stamped out one of the tree images from SU's "Trendy Trees" and punched it out with my 1" circle. I popped them up with dimensionals and layered them around the card.

Do you see the little pillow on the chair with a turtle on it? Well, I don't have a turtle image, so I used the little dinosaur from Pink Cat Studio's "Dress Up Billy" set and stamped that onto a green circle. And since the photo is of a baby room, I decided to use my "small wonder" sentiment and little stars to make this a baby themed card. I almost never have the need to make a baby card, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to add one to my stash.

Since I'm still out of town, I don't know which team members are playing along with the challenge today. Be sure to check out Lauren's blog and she'll have links for all the players this week.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I'll be back home on Monday with a new Christmas challenge for you.
