Stamp by Step Guest Designer for June

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm in the Harajuku District today!

Happy Wednesday to all of you.
This is my third week as guest designer for Stamp-by-Step and I have another fun project to share with you. Here's another image from "Lily at the Beach" by Pink Cat Studio. I used lots of bright papers and flowers on this one. The papers are from the "Fancy Pants" line by Simplicity and the flowers can be found here.
I stamped out the image three times to give the turtle lots of dimension and finished it off with some wide ribbon.

Have you had a chance to stop by and visit the Stamp-by-Step website? Cheryl has a HUGE amount of product in her inventory for great prices and even has some free samples available. I'm dying to get some of these paper strawberries! I may have to place an order when I get home from my trip!

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I drank a little too much sake!
Hey kids!
It's challenge time again over on the Little C's challenge blog. Check out this weeks inspiration photo!Isn't it fabulous?! I love everything about it!

Here's what I came up with using "Stella" from The Greeting Farm... Have you ever made a card that you just LOVE? This one came out waaay cuter than I had pictured it in my head - gosh I wish that happened more often!

I used some of my favorite red polka dot ribbon by Stampin Up. And yes, I stocked up on yards and yards of it before it retires.
I used my Swiss Dots embossing folder on the white cardstock in the background.
And embellished with some mini hearts and a rub-on sentiment.

I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did! Be sure to check out what Jen and Maria did too.

Bookmarks for my bookworms

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm up in the Tokyo Tower today!

I recently got my hands on an adorable new set by Stampin Up called "First Day". My kids are HUGE bookworms, which makes me so happy, so I decided to whip up a couple of 5 minute bookmarks for them.

This little guy is my favorite image from the set.
I finished off this quick project with some of my favorite twill alphabet ribbon.
I left a bookmark on each bed for them to find during their nightly reading hour. Judging by the squeals of delight, you would have thought I left a pile of money on their beds!
Sometimes kids are SO easy to please! It makes my heart happy to be able to make quick little projects like this for them.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day. And for all of you mothers out there, give your kiddos an extra hug today.

Christmas "No Stampin" All Year Long

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me so I wouldn't have to leave the big sumo match!

It's challenge day over at Christmas Stampin All Year Long. This week.....your mission....should you chose to accept it.....is to
NOT USE STAMPS!

Eeek! What's a girl to do?
Well, this girl started digging in her "holiday embellishment drawer".

Luckily I found this pretty glitter chipboard reindeer by Lil' Davis Designs. I paired the reindeer with one of my favorite double-sided patterns by BasicGrey. It matches perfectly with Stampin Up Baha Breeze cardstock. I finished it off with a rub-on sentiment and some yummy May Arts ribbon.

So...are you up for the challenge? I hope you'll play along with us. There are only 28 more weeks until Christmas. (yes, I counted!) If you start playing now, you'll have 28 cards finished by December and they'll all be different!

Pink Cat Digital Release Day!

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me so I wouldn't have to put down my giant bowl of ramen!

It's Thursday and you know what that means!
New goodies from the Pink Kitty!

Are you ready for more cute birdies? I picked up some paper slabs by Die Cuts with A View and used them on both cards this week. After I colored the image with Copic markers, I added a green jewel to the centers of the leaves and a fun rub-on sentiment.

I just love how this next card came out.

Be sure to hop on over to the PCS blog, so you can see what the rest of the design team came up with. After your done checking out all of the inspiration, hop on over to the digi store and pick up these cuties for yourselves!

Stamp by Step Guest Designer for June

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm finally in Japan today!
Today have another cute project for my guest designer spot for Stamp-by-Step. I decided to use Pink Cat Studio's "Lily at the Beach" set for most of my creations this month. This was such a fun image to play with!
I paper pieced her towel to match the background paper...
and popped up her goggles and snorkel on dimensionals.

I used some bright patterns from the "Fancy Pants" line by Simplicity to give this project a really summer feel.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I've got a post scheduled for tomorrow with the new release from Pink Cat Studio!

Little C's Inspiration Challenge

My cabana boy scheduled this post for me because I'm on a flight to Japan right now!

Today brings a new challenge over on the Little C's challenge blog. How's this for inspiration?
Such a fun pic to kick off the start of summer.
Here's what I came up with using "Sweet Kiki" from CC Designs. I really liked the blue and white polka dot print, so I paper pieced her headband and outfit to match the background paper.
I scored the white cardstock border to match the table in the inspiration photo, and then finished it off with some white satin ribbon.
I colored Kiki's ice cream cone with a glitter pen and added a red pearl to the top. I couldn't resist.

What will you come up with this week? Hop on over to the challenge blog for more inspiration!

And we're off!

Well, the family and I are heading down to San Francisco tonight and then we fly out to Japan tomorrow! Oh my gosh - sooo excited!!
A HUGE thank you to our dear family friend who will be house-sitting for us while we're gone. My kitties will be SO happy that they won't be stuck in an empty house. I really lucked out in the awesome friend department!

As for the ol' blog.....I've got about 25 posts pre-scheduled to magically appear while I'm gone. There will be lots of cute NEW stuff from Pink Cat Studio, some incredible inspiration challenges from Little C's, the rest of my projects for Stamp-by-Step, some fun Friday challenges from Christmas Stampin All Year Long as well as a few projects that I did just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs to all of you!

Twisted Tea Party

Have you checked out the Oh Alice challenge blog yet? Every challenge is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. This weekend the challenge is to show your "muchness".

Check out my muchness... I'm definitely a more is better kind of crafter, so I used lots of glittery floral embellishments from K & Company on this one. The patterned paper is from BasicGrey.
This fairy image is a digital by The Greeting Farm.
Isn't she a beauty?
It's hard to see in the photo, but I used a glitter pen to accent her eyelids, lips and wings. This was a fun image to color.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!
