A real fungi

Okay, how cute is this new mushroom image from Hambo?
And the matching sentiment is perfect!

Here's what I came up with for my first card with these images.
I had a scrap of cream paper with red polka dots that I had to use. It totally reminded me of the cute little mushrooms on the stamp!

To make the blue sky background, I punched out a couple of small circles and moved them around on my paper while I used the Stampin Up spritzer tool. When I was finished, I lightly sponged over the sky with "Sky Blue" ink to soften it up.

I colored the image with my Copics and popped up a couple of those cuties on dimensionals.
To finish it off, I tied a piece of Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon around the front. That stuff ties like a dream - I'll have to stock up before it's retired next month!
Thanks for popping by today.
If you have any of the new Hambo images, I'd LOVE to see what you do with them. Be sure to send me a link so I can share it with my readers!
See ya tomorrow - hugs,

Squeezin' in a color challenge

Kristina just posted her color inspiration challenge for this week...

Here's what I came up with...
The patterned paper is from the SU "Bella Rose" collection - beautiful stuff. I stamped my Inkadinkado flourish onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it into 1.5" squares. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the panel behind the squares is white with pink roses on it. To finish off my little creation, I added some ribbon and hand-stitched a single white thread around the border.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,

Another New Hambo!

For today's cards, I'll be using these two NEW images from Hambo.
You can check out all of the new images by clicking here.
Here's the first one...
For this card, I used black for the base and SU's "Jersey Shore" for the patterned paper. I totally stocked up before it retired!
I used the scallop border punch on the blue layer, poked with my piercer and adhered it to the cardbase with dimensionals. I cut out the globe image after I colored it with my Copics and adhered it to a scalloped circle.

For my second card, I used SU's Sage Shadow and Certainly Celery. The brown patterned paper is from the Kim Hughes Mocha Chica paper pack.
Since the main image is very busy on this one, I decided to keep the rest of the card very simple. I just embellished with a few strips of Celery grosgrain ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by!
Until tomorrow...

New Hambo Goodies!

As some of you may already know, Hambo has just released some ADORABLE new images!!
You can click here to see them all.
As promised, I'll be sharing some samples with you this week.

For my first project, I used this cowboy image and matching sentiment:

I made a money holder that measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.

Here's what the inside looks like...
I used some hemp twine to tie the card shut and also made this little "rope" to embellish the inside.

So what do you think? Wouldn't this be perfect for a little birthday boy?
I'll be back tomorrow with some more Hambo goodies to share.
Hugs,

Saturday Sketch Time

So...did you all survive?
Weeks of planning and my kids had the living room torn apart in under 45 minutes! I loved every minute of it!

And now back to stamping!
No more Christmas stuff - I promise!
Here's Lauren's sketch... Since I was spoiled rotten this year by my family and friends, I decided to crank out a couple of thank you cards.

Here's the first.
For this one, I used Sahara Sand as the base and SU's "Pun Fun" for the main image. All of the other papers were from my scrap bin.

This cute little guy was just begging for some white velvet flock.

For the second card, I used up my last scraps of the "Le Jardin" paper collection by Stampin Up.
I used a sentiment from "So Many Scallops", punched it out with my 1 inch circle and then layered it on a scalloped circle.
I embellished with some"fire" rhinestone brads and my paper piercer.

Here's what the rest of the design team did:
Alicia, Dawn, Kim, Kirsten, Kristy, Maria & Tamara

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back on Monday!

Tons of Christmas stuff and BIG news from Hambo!

Brace yourselves - this is a ginormous post. Here are all of the Christmas cards, projects and goodies that I didn't have a chance to post until now. Oh....if only there were just ONE more week until Christmas!
Okay, here goes! These are some gift tags I made for the kids gifts. All of the cute little animal images are from Hambo.
And speaking of Hambo, all of their NEW DESIGNS are now available!! You can check them out here.
So many cute ones to choose from! I promise to have some samples for you after the holiday.

I made this next card at a monthly stamp club that I attend. We used Kiwi Kiss for the base and the "Ski Slope" patterned paper (also in the SU holiday mini).
We embellished with felt snowflakes and a gorgeous jewel brad.

For this one, I used the "Scandanavian Christmas" set from the SU holiday mini and embellished with miscellaneous goodies from my workshop table.
I embossed the tree image with white and added half-pearls to embellish.

For this one, I used my new Kim Hughes U R A Hoot stamps.
LOVE THEM!This one has a Baha Breeze card base and scraps of the "Ski Slope" patterned paper by SU.

Last one - promise!

Here's a Christmas card holder that I made to display as a project idea at Green Tangerines.

For this one, I used paper from K I Memories "Festive" line by Elsie.

Wow! I think I'm all done. Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to take a little break for a few days to enjoy some time with my family. I'll be back on Saturday with a peek at Lauren's new Saturday Sketch.

Merry Christmas!

A reindeer and a sketch

I'm sure that there's no one out there in blog-land reading this, but I thought I'd post it anyways. I'm sure most of you are out there braving the cold weather, crowds and traffic.

I had to get this posted today because, I have a couple more Christmas items to share, and I'm NOT posting any of them after Thursday. I'm sure we'll all be "Christmas'd out" by then and it will be time to move on to other projects.

With that said, here's another Christmas card...
I used this sketch over at Splitcoast and my Whipper Snapper reindeer. I popped up the head on dimensionals and used my Copics to color.
Thanks for stopping by! hugs,

Saturday Sketch Time

So you guys are all done with your Christmas cards right? Me neither... I used Lauren's Saturday sketch to help me whip up a few more last minute cards.
Here's the first one... Isn't this little guy from Whipper Snapper the cutest?
I picked him up at Little C's while I was in Hawaii earlier this year.
I used the "Silent Night" patterned paper from the "Figgy Pudding" line by BasicGrey. I paper pieced the hat and scarf with the same paper. If you're not familiar with the paper piecing technique, you can check out a tutorial here.

Here's my second card...

Had to have this reindeer image as soon as I saw it! He's also by Whipper Snapper.

Hope you're inspired to create something fabulous!
Here's what the rest of the sketch team did:
Alicia, Dawn, Kim, Kirsten, Kristy, Maria & Tamara.

Have a super weekend.
I'll be back on Monday with some of my twisted Christmas humor.
Hugs,
