Ready for some Saturday inspiration?

That's right kids! It's Saturday and that means a new sketch from Lauren!
While I was in Oahu, I met a gal who is as crazy as I am about stamps. Can you imagine? The whole front room of her home is a mini stamp store!! My sister-in-law and I thought we died and went to heaven. My husband was even impressed!

Her name is Jen and she calls her place "Little C's". What a sweetheart she was! We talked "stamp talk" and shopped while her adorable puppy Caesar licked our toes. Not only does she have a stamp store in her house, but she's got a blog and a website to take orders from anywhere! Definitely go check it out when you get a chance.

This is one of the Whipper Snapper images that I picked up while I was there.
I had no reason to buy him, but he was just soooo cute and I couldn't resist! For the sketch challenge today, I decided to use him to make a shaker card. Here's a close up of all the yummy beads inside.
And these are the Copics that I used to color him in.
CARD RECIPE:
CARDSTOCK - BASIC BLACK, PUMPKIN PIE, WHISPER WHITE
PATTERNED PAPER - SU'S BALI BREEZE
MISC - SU'S PUMPKIN PIE STRIPED RIBBON, STICKLES, HEMP TWINE
STAMPS - WHIPPER SNAPPER, SENTIMENT BY STAMPIN UP
Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team gals did!
Alicia, Dawn, Kim, Kirsten, Kristy, Maria & Tamara
Thanks so much for stopping by - I'll be back Monday.
Hugs,

Great card! I pictured the smaller circles on top of the large one also. Thanks for sharing such a fun idea with the shaker card.

What a small stamping world! I live here on Oahu and Jen and I have become "cyber friends" but still haven't met in real life even though we only live about 15 minutes from eachother! But you met her and you don't live as close. How funny is that? I think I may have to stop by her place one of these days... Our kids are close in age too and would probably get along great. I love your card. That image is perfect for a shaker card!

What a neat card! We love Duckies at our house even have a Ducky Bathroom!

I love your take on the sketch as well.

I went to SU Regional's this weekend in Kansas City so I have not had the chance to do my sketch yet, hoping for some midnight stamping time tonight as well! :-)

I finally got my Saturday Sketch Challenge done, and made it one of our projects for Stamper's Club this weekend, and got to use some of the techniques they showed us at SU Regionals so it was a 3 birds with one stone project.

Hope you like my take on it, I still just adore the Duckies!
