Another one of my class projects for December

What's a girl to do when she has an entire pack of 12 x 12 Certainly Celery cardstock??Well....she preps 34 gift card holders for a class!
Want to try this funky fold for yourself?
This is all you need to do...
Cut your cardstock to 4 x 12 and score at
4 inches and 8 inches.

Then make a diagonal score line from the top left to the bottom right of your center square.

Then fold on the diagonal score line so the right half of the middle square is behind the left half. I promise it will make sense when you're actually doing it.

Adhere with red sticky tape on the left and bottom edge. You now have a little pocket to stick a gift card, photo, gift tag or anything else you creative people can think of!

To make the cool little frame in the center, all I did was this...
Cut a piece of cardstock to 2 3/4 square.

Then line up one edge on the scallop border punch so there is an even amount hanging over on both sides. I've marked with arrows because the cardstock I used was dark (sorry!).

Now punch...
This is what you'll have

Repeat on all four sides

And you'll have a cool little frame that looks like this.

The finished gift card holder measures 4 x 4. This whole project came together in under 10 minutes. Gotta love that!

Hope you found this mini tutorial helpful - thanks for visiting me today.
Hugs,
