A sketch, ice cream and an appletini...what could be better?

I just loved the sketch that Jen posted over the weekend.
All of the layers caught my eye and I had to play along. Here's what I came up with...
For this one, I used "Here's the Scoop" by MFT. I wasn't sure what color scheme I was going to use, so I whipped out my handy-dandy SU color wheel to help me out. It suggested More Mustard, Perfect Plum, Ruby Red, Barely Banana and Close to Cocoa. I was VERY skeptical at first, but decided to stick with it and see how it came out. I love that color wheel! It never disappoints - best $10 I ever spent! Seriously...I NEVER would have put those colors together myself.

Since I was playing with a sketch, I also made a Christmas card for my growing collection. As you can see, I decided to stick with the same color scheme and just added a couple shades of green to the mix. Why mess with a good thing right?
For this one I used another set by MFT called "Merry Christmas". Such a great set, and the sentiments that are included totally capture my feelings during the holiday season.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'll be back tomorrow with a new recipe to Fool Your Family.
Big hugs to all my readers,
