My cabana boy scheduled this post for me so he wouldn't have to interrupt my massage.
Do you know what day it is?
It's "My Time" challenge day!
Today Lauren has a beautiful photo for us to use as inspiration to get crafty...
What do you think?
Beautiful photo right? I wouldn't mind having those sheets on my bed.
Here's what I came up with without using ANY stamps...I've had these rub ons by Stampin Up for a looooooong time. I use rub ons all the time when I scrapbook, but almost never on my cards. I decided to leave them out on my table, waiting for inspiration to whack me on the head.
Thanks Lauren!
As you can see, I obviously used the colors from the photo, but I also really liked how the brown pillow was un-centered on the bed. The color and placement of it really draw the eye right to it. I used a small square of Chocolate Chip cardstock, some rub ons and a button to mimic that look on my card.
The photo also had layers and layers of yummy fabric and that inspired me to add some thread to my card. I used a paper piercer and then hand-stitched a single thread around the border to finish off my card.
So what do you think?
Are you inspired to play along with us?
We've had lots of participants lately and I just love seeing what you all come up with.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team did:
Lauren, Kendra, Alicia, Maria, Tamara, Jen, Dana, Kristin, Lisa, Odette, Pam and Tracey.
And don't forget to link your creation to Lauren's blog for a chance to be included in her Top 5 next week! Thanks for stopping by.

Gorgeous card - I love how your brown square is off centre too - looks fab. I love using rub-ons oncard, so this is great. x
WOW MacKenzie - this is fabulous. I love that you off set your "pillow" and now I am inspired to use my same set of rub ons. Totally cracked up about your cabana boy - can I borrow him??? Have a great weekend.
Beautiful! Great work with the rub ons, they look fabulous!
Beautiful! I have many of those same rub-ons and I rarely use them! What a great way to use them!
Fabulous Mackenzie! Love the 'no stamping' and that stitching is the perfect touch! wow
OH my... I love the hand-stitched touch around the border to finish off your card. I think I'll try it :)
Oh so pretty! I love the swirls and the stitched border!
Great card Mackenzie! I love the simplicity of it. It does look very romantic though.
Gorgeous, MacKenzie! Love that you didn't use any stamps, and that border stitching is just the perfect touch. Love those rub ons also...some of my faves :O)
