Pink Cat Studio Cutting Files!

So what did you think of the cutting files that were released by Pink Cat Studio yesterday?! Aren't they great?! I'm so excited today because I can finally share some of the projects that I've been working on behind the scenes. Today I've got three projects using the butterfly cutting files.

For my first project, I started out with some of these...Then I grabbed some hot pink felt and traced a butterfly image with a pencil.
I ended up with six of these...
Which turned into these...
I had some girlfriends over yesterday to scrapbook, stamp and do all things crafty. I wanted everyone to feel welcome so I had a little work area set up for each gal and included one of these cute water bottles at each spot.
These were so simple to make, but they really added that "something extra" for my friends.

For my next project, I used the same cutting image, but layered the wings instead.
It's a photo holder made out of a binder clip.
Here's a close up of the butterfly.
I printed the image on the reverse side of my patterned paper and then just cut them out by hand. I added some black glitter to the body and some jewels to the wings for a little sparkle. I really love this one.

For my last project today, I made a mobile to hang from the ceiling.
Once again, I printed the butterfly images on the reverse side of my patterned paper and just cut out. (I always print on the reverse side, so that when I cut, you can't see the lines.) I was going for a monarch look, so I used some fun shimmery textured paper. My friend used the same paper to make a basketball on one of her scrapbook pages!

Here's a close up of the top of the mobile...
I just layered lots of ovals onto a 5 1/2" circle and then attached the butterflies with fine fishing line.

Tomorrow I'll have a couple more projects using the new cupcake and owl cutting files. Until then....
