Got wasabi?

As some of you know, last week I was working on some Asian themed cards for my Japanese Mother-in-law. Thought I'd share one last one with you today. Her favorite colors are black, red and gold so that's what I went with for this one. The sushi stamp is from Viva Las Vegas stamps and I colored it in with my Copics. Kind of hard to tell from the photo, but the black panel behind the main image was Cuttlebugged with the swiss dots embossing folder.
The two pieces of sushi on the right are called tobeko. They are bright orange colored flying fish roe. My daughter LOVES this stuff and eats it by the spoonful - expensive taste for a six year old! To make it look real, I colored the image with an orange Copic and then covered it with tiny clear microbeads. Even my husband thought it looked pretty cool.

Have a great Thursday!
Don't forget that Survivor is on tonight!

Wow, it's cool that your daughter likes to eat sushi. My daughter grew up in Hawaii and there's a lot sushi there and she refuses to eat them. It grosses her out! LOL! I LOVE eating at sushi bars. . gosh, I can eat so many of them! I once ate at a all you can eat sushi bar and I got so greedy. I stuffed myself to the point of getting sick!! LOL!!

Love your card. . .the coloring is fantastic. . .your MIL must have loved your card!!
