For my class on Friday, we'll be focusing on masculine cards and projects. There are quite a few gals in my class who have military men in their lives, so I thought this card would be appropriate.I saw a piece of framed art in a Stampin Up magazine and decided to modify a few things to make it into a card. I used Real Red, Whisper White, Kraft and Brilliant Blue cardstock. The images are from a set called "The Free & The Brave", which happens to be on the discontinued list that was released yesterday. Kind of hard to see in the photo, but I stamped a swirly star image on the top right and bottom left corners, just under the main panel. That image is from "Spotlight on Christmas", but I thought it had a patriotic feel to it, so I just went with it. I like being able to use my stamps for other themes than they were meant for.
To add a little somethin' somethin' I pierced a border around the main panel and punched out some stars. That's it for me today. The kids have their last day of school tomorrow and I have SO MUCH TO DO!!
Big cyber hugs to all,
