Saturday Sketch Time

Yay! It's Saturday and that means another sketch from the uber-talented Lauren! Here's todays sketch. I hope you can play along with us. Here's what I came up with...
As you can see, I'm still playing with my SU "Just Jawing" set and totally loving it. For this card I paired it with Pacific Point cardstock and some patterned papers from the Bella Rose and Urban Garden collections. I finished it off with some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon and stamped the sentiment with white craft ink.

You can check out what the rest of the sketch team did here:
Alicia, Dawn, Kim, Kirsten, Kristy, Maria, Kendra & Tamara

Before I sign off for tonight, I've had a couple of e-mails asking how we did the "pop up" part of this card from stamp club. It's super simple. All we did was punch out a 2 inch circle of cardstock and starting cutting in a circular pattern from the outer edge. Then just keep cutting around until you reach the center.

Pull out the spiral and voila!

Then just attach one end to each side of the card using a glue dot.

Thanks for coming by! I'll be back on Monday.
Hugs,

Cool! The skull looks so cool, especially with all the glitter.

I am totally loving what you are doing with this set! With the new paper coming out to match it, I just might have to buy it! (Like I need it... :) But, it's for my cousin - a 5th grader who would totally love it. Yeah.. that's a good excuse! LOL)
I really love how you did the ribbons with the sketch too! I'm a pretty literal sketch follower, so it's nice to see what everyone else comes up with!
