A geisha for Mother's Day

Today I'm working on some Mother's Day goodies for friends and family. My mother-in-law is Japanese and loves homemade cards. I have an entire shelf in my workshop of Asian images and sentiments so I can make cards for her and her friends.

I decided to make her a box of cards that she'll be able to use for any occasion. She's got a set of beautiful Japanese symbol sentiments that she can stamp on the inside of the cards when she's ready to use them.

Here's the first card I came up with.... The uber-cute geisha image is by The Greeting Farm.
Here's a detail shot of the flower. I used "blue jean" and "lily white" Doodlebug Sugar Coating and added a mini red jewel to the center.
It's really hard to tell in the photo, but I also added "lily white" Doodlebug Sugar Coating to the flowers on her dress for a little extra glamour.

Hopefully I'll get the rest of my cards done today and dare I say...a cute box to put them in?

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,

Wow mackenzie. . your grandma will love your cards. Your geisha card is beautiful with the embossing and pretty coloring. The background image matches so nicely with the theme. Very pretty!! How nice of you to make a set of cards for your grandma!! She'll definitely appreciate it. She probably won't use them, instead she'll probably frame them! LOL! I give cards to my friend so she can use it to send to friends and family and she said she can't part with the cards! LOL!
