"My Time" to inspire...

Are you guys ready for a new challenge from Lauren?
This week we're doing an inspiration challenge using the picture below.

Here's what I came up with.....
This is another card for my Japanese Mother-in-law.
I'm making a whole set to give her for Mother's Day. The geisha image is by The Greeting Farm and I'm just LOVING her!

Oh and guess what?!
I even whipped up a little box to put all my cards in!
This box was so easy to make - 5 minutes!
All I did was choose two pieces of thick patterned cardstock from the "Far East" pack by Die Cuts with a View.

For the bottom, I used a piece cut to 9 x 7 3/4" and scored all sides at 1 1/2".
For the lid, I used a piece cut to 6 7/8 x 8 1/8" and scored all sides at 1".

Then just fold, adhere and decorate!

I used the flower image from SU's "Embrace Life" set, gold embossed it and colored in with some Copic markers. To finish it off, I added a little vellum butterfly with my Martha Stewart punch.
