Hambo Hump Day

Hey Peeps!
Today I've got a fun little Hambo card to share with you.I used two stamps to make this card:
The first one is from the Limerick collection...

And the second image is from the Halloween collection, but I thought it worked well with the birthday limerick.

I wanted to keep the skeleton image white so I used the emboss resist technique on the main panel.
If you've never tried it before, here's how it's done...

First, I stamped out my image and colored it as desired. For the skeleton, I just highlighted with a grey Copic marker. Then I colored over my image with a Versamarker and applied clear embossing powder. It's always a good idea to use your "embossing buddy" for this technique so you don't get any stray powder on your panel. Even just one speck of it will ruin the effect.
Once any stray pieces of embossing powder have been brushed away, heat set your image.
(After the skeleton was done, I repeated steps 1 & 2 with the balloon image)

Now, take a brayer (or you could use a sponge) and create your background. I used Sahara Sand ink.

Since your images have been clear embossed, they will "resist" the ink. Then just take a tissue and wipe over your images. This will remove any ink on top of the embossing.
Voila!
Brown background - White skeleton!
Easy Peasy.

Here's another look at my finished card.
Hope my mini-tutorial was helpful. Give it a try!
Be sure to hop on over to the Hambo Sale Page - lots of great deals to be had!
Hugs
